Dave Hall has been a member of the LAA’s Youth & Education Support (YES) Strut since its inception in late 1997, and remains an active worker in it. A retired teacher, he has used his educational background and experience to give YES many practical features,

These include: simple slide rules; templates for the creation of extremely simple flying models from polystyrene plates; and a number of written guides for youngsters to use, for example how to behave when on an airfield.

Dave has been a tireless worker for YES, setting up and running YES stands at events including the Farnborough Air Show, The Royal International Air Tattoo, the LAA Rally, and the NEC Flying Show.

For his inspirational and tireless work in introducing youngsters to the fascination of aviation and for his outstanding innovation in the way it is done, he was rewarded a Royal Aero Club Certificate of Merit.

Thank you Dave, for all your hard work.
