YES AIR ACADEMY (coming soon)

For those wanting to explore, learn and have fun.

Want to go to an “aviation camp” and learn all about aviation during the Summer holidays and get up close and personal to aircraft in the hangars?

Then the YES Air Academy is for you and your friends.

To be set up at in the future,  with a bank of small flight simulators that will be available at weekends for birthday parties and for fun with your friends, this will be the first of a number of similar Air Academies around the UK.

Covering modules such as Aeronautics, Airmanship, Meteorology, Navigation, airfield operations, aircraft controls and instrumentation, come and learn all about aviation and all its various aspects and have fun making learning, making models and visiting the hangars to see aircraft, microlights and helicopters.

If youngsters enjoy the experience and want to be inspired further, then they can come along to a Young Aviators event (ie Sywell in September), where amongst a full day’s activities, a flight in a light aircraft will offer a further aspect to aviation and further inspiration, which will then be followed up by mentoring from a number of dedicated service providers, from Pilot Training, to Engineering, to Cabin Crew and Air Traffic Control, a myriad of other career opportunities, will provide mentoring to those youngsters who want to perhaps pursue a career in aviation.
